The restless spirit of the former family butler has set up housekeeping in an antique grandfather clock located in a timeworn Hollywood villa. When the mansion is rented by a movie company as a film location, the spirit takes possession of an alien puppet character, bringing him to life. His goal is to compel the two filmmakers into tracking down an old house to finally rectify an age-old family scandal.
